The 2D Design Help system which includes tutorials, has been praised for its user friendliness and its accessibility. However it has been written primarily with teachers in mind, and is aimed at trying to get them up to speed as quickly as possible.
Dr. Bill Phillips is a practising teacher with a history of excellent guide publications behind him. He has written Discovering CAD for teachers to use with students. Like our own guides it is tutorial based with numerous practical applications and project ideas which can be used directly or adapted

The accompanying CD not only contains files for the tutorials, but has a wide range of other drawings that are sure to spark off interesting ideas for short courses and projects.
Projects cover very basic introductory topics through to some very sophisticated high end work.
The book goes beyond its title which mentions only CAD. In fact there are very interesting sections on the use of 2D Design with CAMM 1 and CAMM 2 machines, helping to introduce students to CAD/CAM techniques.
Although Discovering CAD is not a TechSoft publication, we can thoroughly recommend it for all educational users of 2D Design.
