Laser Image Transfer Materials
 

All TMT printers have modified fuser units to give full guaranteed compatibility with the specialist Laser Image Transfer paper and other Laser Printing Materials, from TechSoft. The TMT printer’s warranty is also protected when using the specialist LIT papers.

The LIT papers and laser printing materials are compatible with some standard laser printers but may invalidate the printer’s warranty. See Printer Compatibility for more information.

Transfer printed graphics onto white or light coloured non-fabric materials, such as cardboard, plastic, metal, ceramic, wood, etc.

The graphic is laser printed in reverse onto the transfer paper. The paper is then placed, printed side down, on the material and heat and pressure are applied using a heat press. The paper is then peeled off to reveal the transferred graphic.
 
N.B. Some materials require the use of an application pad (see APPLICATION PADS below).

HEAT TAPE

COVERSEAL
 
Coverseal is used to protect a non-fabric surface from abrasion and heat, eg., it is used on coasters to protect the transferred image. A sponge pad is used to apply the coverseal.

IMAGE TRANSFER BOARD
New Product

Image transfer board is medite MDF (ideal for laser cutting) with a special coating on one side to allow images to be transferred onto it using either TechSoft’s Laser Image Transfer system or sublimation. Either process creates a gloss finish image on one side of this medite board.

Students can design, laser cut and then transfer an image to create anything from point of sale displays, to clocks or jigsaws.

Image Transfer Board is available in 3mm thick sheets.
